Calinou - Cuddly (fin) - (the end)

Doumi : "Tu viens d'arriver. Je suis Doumi, le chat de Mamie, si tu ne manges pas ma nourriture et n'embête pas Mamie on peut être amis."
Calinou : "Je m'appelle Calinou, c'est grand-père qui m'a amené dans cette maison. Mamie n'est pas commode je vais la laisser tranquille

Softy : "You've just arrived. I'm Softy, Grandma's cat, if you don't eat my food and don't pester Grandma we can be friends."
Cuddly : "I'm Calinou, it's Grandfather who brought me to this house. Grandma is so strict I will leave her alone."

Mamie : "Tu as raison Doumi n'a pas l'air d'avoir peur de ton chien."
Grand-père : "Tu vois il ne fallait pas t'inquiéter. Et puis tu aimes bien les animaux."

Grandma : "You're right Softy doesn't seem to be afraid of your dog."
Granddad : "You see you didn't have to worry. And you like animals."

Doumi : "Elle n'est pas tout le temps comme ça, tu vois maintenant elle est contente."
Calinou : "J'espère que c'est vrai, en tout cas Grand-père est vraiment gentil."

Softy : "She isn't always like that, you see she is happy now."
Cuddly : "I hope it's true, anyway Granddad is really kind."

Mamie : "Vraiment, Charles, pourquoi adopter un chien sans me le demander avant? Ça m'a fait un drôle de choc de voir ce chien."

Grandma : "Really, Charles, why adopt a dog without asking me before? It gave me quite a turn to see that dog."

Calinou : "Elle recommence!"
Doumi : "Tu verras ils sont tous les deux gentils, c'est une bonne maison et parfois il y a des enfants, on s'amuse bien avec eux."

Cuddly : "Here she goes again!"
Softy : "You'll see they are both kind, it's a good house and sometimes there are children, they are fun."

Grand-père : "Je n'ai pas pu, je ne le savais pas avant ce matin et puis est ce que tu aurais accepté?"

Granddad : "I couldn't, I didn't know before this morning and anyway would you have accepted?"

Mamie : "Certainement pas!"
Doumi : "Je te laisse et ne t'inquiète pas tout ira bien." 

Grandma : "Certainly not!"
Softy : "I'll leave you and don't worry everything is going to be fine."

Mamie : "Mais je dois dire que ton Calinou est vraiment mignon et il a l'air plutôt sage."
Grand-père : "Bien, maintenant tu comprends ma décision."

Grandma : "But I must say that your Cuddly is really cute and he seems rather well-behaved."
Granddad : "Well, now you understand my decision."

Mamie : "Oui, mais j'ai mes conditions. C'est toi qui t'en occupera, tu le sortiras et cela te permettra de faire de l'exercice."
Grand-père : "Bien sur, si j'ai un chien c'est pour m'en occuper. Mais tu exagères je marche tous les jours."
Mamie : "Je le sais, mais tu seras obligé de marcher plus vite, cela te fera du bien."

Grandma : "Yes, I do, but I have my conditions. You'll look after him, You'll take him out and that will enable you to take some exercise."
Granddad : "Of couse, if I have a dog it's to look after him. You are joking I walk every day."
Grandma : "I know that, but you'll have to walk faster, it will do you good."

Grand-père : "Bon, c'est tout?"
Mamie : "Une dernière chose, je ne veux pas qu'il monte à l'étage."
Grand-père : "Cela me va, même si ton chat a le droit de le faire."

Granddad : "Well, is that all?
Grandma : "One last thing, I don't want him to go upstairs."
Granddad : "Fine by me, even if your cat is allowed to do it."

Mamie : "C'est attendrissant comme Calinou te regarde. J'aurais été bête de te dire non."
Grand-père : "Je suis content de t'entendre dire ça, mais je ne suis pas surpris avec toi c'est toujours comme ça."
Calinou : "Moi aussi je suis soulagé d'entendre ça. Doumi avait raison."

Grandma : "It's touching how Cuddly is looking at you. I would have been stupid to tell you no."
Granddad : "I'm glad to hear you say that, but I'm not surprised it's always like that with you."
Cuddly : "I'm relieved to hear it too. Softy was right."

Mamie : "Charles, je suis rentrée. Mais que fait ce chien ici?"

Grandma : "Charles, I'm back. What is that dog doing there?"

Calinou : "C'est qui elle?"

Cuddly : Who is she?"

Mamie : "Charles, viens tout de suite il y a un chien."

Grandma : "Charles, come at once there is a dog."

Grand-père : "Ah, ne t'inquiète pas Solange! C'est Calinou."

Granddad : "Ah, don't worry Solange! It's Cuddly."

Mamie : "Comment ça c'est Calinou?"
Grand-père : "C'est mon nouveau chien, notre nouveau chien."

Grandma : "What do you mean it's Cuddly?"
Granddad : "It's my new dog, our new dog."

Calinou : "Elle n'a pas l'air contente."

Cuddly : "She doesn't seem pleased."

Mamie : "Notre nouveau chien, mais nous n'avons jamais eu de chien."

Grandma : "Our new dog, but we've never had a dog."

Grand-père : "Je sais, mais j'en avais quand j'étais enfant. Et aujourd'hui, mon ami Loïck m'a présenté à Calinou et je l'ai pris parce qu'il ne pouvait pas le garder. Regarde ton chat arrive!"

Granddad : "I know, but I had one when I was a child. And today, my friend Loïck introduced me to Cuddly and I took him because he couldn't keep him. Look your cat is coming!"

Calinou : "Je suis content d'être avec lui dans cette nouvelle maison."

Cuddly : "I'm happy to be with him in this new home."

Doumi : "Mais qu'est ce qui se passe? Non, c'est pas vrai un chien!"

Softy : "But what's going on? No, it isn't true a dog!"

Mamie : "Ah Doumi, comme moi tu n'en reviens pas de ce que Charles a fait."

Grandma : "Ah Softy, like me you can't believe what Charles has done."

Doumi : "Il a l'air gentil ce chien. On pourrait être ami

Softy : "This dog seems kind. We could be friend

du moment que je reste le chouchou de Mamie."

as long as I'm still Grandma's pet."

Calinou : "Donc il y a la dame pas contente et maintenant un chat. Quelle maison!"

Cuddly : "So there is the unhappy woman and now a cat. What a house!"

Mamie : "Vraiment Charles je n'en reviens pas de ce que tu as fait. Et puis mon Doumi je ne sais pas s'il aime les chiens."
Grand-père : "Tu vas voir ils vont faire connaissance."

Grandma : "Really Charles I can't believe what you've done. And my Softy I don't know if he likes dog."
Granddad : "You'll see they're going to get to know each other."
