Nina et Lucie en Provence - Nina and Lucie in Provence

Pendant les vacances d'automne Nina et Lucie sont allées  chez les grand-parents en Provence.

During the autumn holiday Nina and Lucie went to their grandparents' in Provence.

Dans le sud de la France le temps était encore beau et doux.

In the south of France the weather was still good and warm.

Grand-mère prépare le déjeuner avant de prendre l'apéritif avec grand-père.

Grandma is cooking lunch before having an apéritif with grandpa.

Tout est bien calme, le chat peut dormir tranquillement.

Everything is quiet, the cat can sleep peacefully.

Mais le calme ne va pas durer longtemps, Nina et Lucie arrivent.

But the peace will not last very long, Nina and Lucie are coming.

 

Les filles veulent jouer avec le chat, mais il dort.

The girls want to play with the cat, but he is sleeping.

 Puis Lucie imite grand-père avec son chapeau.

Then lucie mimics grandpa with his hat.

 Le chat n'était pas content d'être réveillé et a été trouvé un endroit plus tranquille.

The cat was not happy to be woken up and found a quieter spot.

 

Malheureusement il ne va pas pouvoir redormir très longtemps.

Unfortunately he will not be able to sleep again for a long time.

Lucie : "Il dort tout le temps ce chat, ce n'est pas drôle."

Nina : "Laisse le tranquille, sinon grand-mère ne va pas être contente et nous n'aurons pas de calissons." 

Lucie : "He is always sleeping this cat, it isn't funny."

Nina : "Leave it alone, otherwise grandma will be cross and we won't have any calissons."
