Pour leur premier jour à la plage Nina et Lucie ont fait des châteaux de sable.

Lucie : "Nina, viens voir mon château."

On their first day on the beach Nina and Lucie made sandcastles.

Lucie : "Nina, come and see my sandcastle."

Nina : "Tu l'as bien réussi, Lucie. Et si je mettais le drapeau pour le décorer?"

Nina : "Well done! Lucie.  What about putting the flag to decorate it?"

Nina : "Alors, Lucie?"

Lucie : "J'adore. 

Nina : "Well, Lucie?"

Lucie : "I love it."

Nina : "Viens voir le mien maintenant."

Nina : "Come and see mine now."

 Lucie : "On reviendra les voir demain."

Nina :  "Ils auront disparu."

Lucie : "Pourquoi?"

Nina : " La mer va monter et les détruire. C'est la marée."

Lucie : "C'est trop triste."

Lucie : "We'll come back to see them tomorrow."

Nina : "They'll have disappeared."

Lucie : "Why?"

Nina : "The sea will come up and destroy them. It's the tide"

Lucie : "It's too sad."

Il faudra attendre pour d'autres aventures de Nina et Lucie. Dimanche je repars en Angleterre avec un autre groupe de jeunes pour une semaine. Cette fois je serai à Eastbourne.

You will have to wait for more of Nina and Lucie's adventures. On Sunday I will go back to England with another group of students for a week. This time I will be in Eastbourne.

vacances - holidays

Depuis hier je suis en vacances. Dimanche je pars pour l'Angleterre avec un groupe de jeunes en séjour linguistique. Un  premier séjour de quinze jours, à mon retour je vous parlerai de la suite de mes vacances.

Yesterday was the end of school, now it's time for the holiday. On Sunday I will go to England with a group of young students on a linguistic exchange. A first stay wich will last a fortnight, when I am back I will tell you more about the rest of my holiday.

Pour illustrer les vacances d'été une photo de famille. Le garçon  contre la dame est mon grand-père paternel.

To illustrate the summer holidays a family photo. The boy against the woman is my paternal gandfather.

 Cette photo s'imposait car  je vais être au bord de la mer à Margate. Même si cette photo me fait rêver je suis contente que les femmes puissent maintenant se mettre en maillot de bain.

This photo seemed obvious as I will be at the seaside in Margate. Even if this photo makes me dream I am happy that nowadays women can wear a bathing suit.

Un sofa pour la maison bord de mer (toujours pas construite, difficile de trouver le temps pour un gros travail) 

Vous aurez remarqué qu'il n'y a pas le repose pieds, je n'avais plus assez de tissu. Je le garde pour le mettre avec des fauteuils avec un autre tissu.

Si les coussins sont froissés c'est exprès, c'est une maison avec des enfants...

You will have noticed that there is not the footstool, I did not have enough fabric. I keep it to go with armchairs with another fabric.

If the cushions look crumpled it is on purpose, it is a house with children...

Je suis assez contente du résultat.

I am quite pleased with the result.

ma journée au SIMP - my day at the SIMP

Il est grand temps de vous parler du SIMP. J' ai été trop occupée avec mes cours pour le faire plus tôt.

It is high time to tell you about the SIMP. I was  too busy with my teaching to do it sooner.

 Mon stand avec ma mère qui a été une aide très précieuse.

Je suis désolée de ne pas avoir pris des photos des autres stands, il y avait beaucoup de monde et je ne voulais pas déranger. Heureusement d'autres bloggers l'ont fait et vous pouvez voir les photos sur leur blog.

I am sorry for not having taken photos of the other tables, there were a lot of people and I did not want to disturb them. Fortunately other bloggers did it and you can see their photos on their blogs.

J'ai passé une merveilleuse journée à parler avec de nombreuses personnes, c'est toujours un bonheur de revoir des amies et de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes. J'ai pu ainsi faire connaissance avec des  bloggeuses  et pour celles qui exposaient c'était un plaisir de voir en vrai leurs miniatures. Je ne citerai aucun nom, j'ai trop peur d'en oublier, elles se reconnaitront .

I spent a wonderful day talking with a lot of people, it is always a joy to see friends again and to meet new people. I was able to meet  some bloggers and for the ones who were exhibitors it was a pleasure to see their miniatures in real. I will not quote any names, I am too afraid to forget some, they will recognize themselves.

Bien sur, je n'étais pas seulement au SIMP en tant qu'exposante mais aussi comme collectionneuse. Donc voici mes achats :

Tout est prêt pour le SIMP. Je voulais vous montrer les nouvelles choses qui seront sur mon stand.

Bien sur, Nina a voulu essayer le sac et Lucie a trouvé que le coussin oiseau était un parfait doudou.

Of course, Nina wanted to try he bag and Lucie found that the bird cushion was a perfect  toy.

J'ai hâte de voir toutes les miniatures, retrouver des amis et rencontrer des nouvelles personnes.

I can't wait to see all the miniatures, to see  friends again and meet new people.

Un dimanche au jardin (épisode 2) - Sunday at the park (part 2)

Bon alors, moi je vais jouer avec le cerf-volant. Grand-père m'a montré l'été dernier.

Well then, I'm going to fly the kite. Grandfather showed me last summer.

Oh crotte! Le cerf-volant est  dans les fleurs.

Oh heck! The kite is in the flowers.

Lucie : "Nina, s'il te plait viens m'aider. Je ne peux pas attraper le cerf volant."

Lucie : "Nina, please come and help me. I can't get the kite back."

Nina : "Qu'est ce que tu as fait? Tu aurais dû m'attendre pour faire voler le cerf-volant."

Lucie : "Je l'ai déjà fait avec grand-père. Allez, s'il te plait, viens!"

Nina : "Oui, mais c'était sur une plage sans arbres. C'est bon, j'arrive, montre moi où il est."

Nina : "What have you done? You should have waited for me to fly the kite."

Lucie : "I've already done it with grandfather. Please, come on!"

Nina : "Yes, you have, but it was on a beach with no trees." OK, I'm coming, show me where it  is."

Lucie : "Tu le vois là haut? Toi tu es grande, attrape le."

Nina : "Avec toi pas moyen d'être tranquille. Je vais voir ce que je peux faire."

Lucie : "Can you see it over there? You are tall, get it."

Nina : "With you no way to have some peace. I'll see what I can do."

Lucie : "Merci! Trop bête maintenant il est déchiré. Nina, tu crois qu'il peut encore voler?"

Lucie : "Thank you! Too bad now it's torn. Nina, do you believe it can still fly?"

Nina : "Je m'en fiche! On rentre à la maison, j'en ai assez! "

Lucie : "Si tu avais joué avec moi ça ne serait pas arrivé, c'est de ta faute. Toi et ton livre!"

Nina : "Ca alors, c'est la meilleure! Prends les affaires et viens."

Nina : " I don't care! Let's go home, I've had enough!"

Lucie : "If you had played with me it wouldn't have happened, it's your fault. You and your book!

Nina : "That's the best one yet! Take the things and come."
