Chloé : "Grand-père regarde les livres que j'ai trouvés."

Chloe : "Granddad look at the books I've found."

Lucie : "Grand-père viens voir ce que Doumi fait."

Lucie : "Granddad come and see what Softy is doing."

Fiona : "Grand-père nous avons trouvé le bol de ta mère."

Fiona : "Granddad we've found your mother's bowl."

Grand-père : "Eh bien, les filles vous en avez des choses à me montrer."

Granddad : "Well, girls you have a lot of things to show me."

Mamie : "Ah te voilà! Tu vas pouvoir prendre le relais, je dois changer Quentin."
Grand-père : "Même pas le temps de prendre un thé. Je sens que je ne vais pas m'ennuyer."

Grandma : "Ah, here you are! You'll be able to take over, I must change Quentin's nappy."
Granddad : "Not even time for a cup of tea. I feel I won't get bored."

Grand-père : "Les filles, j'arrive!"

Granddad : "girls, I'm coming."

Fiona : "Grand-père il y a un vieil album photos, tu peux montrer une photo de ta mère, s'il te plait?"

Fiona  : "Granddad there's an old photo album, can you show me a photo of your mother, please?"

Chloé : "Grand-père c'est à toi ces soldats? Je les adore."

Chloe : "Granddad are these soldiers yours? I love them."

Grand-père : "Que de questions! Chloé, oui ceux sont mes soldats et je me demande où sont les autres." 
Chloé : "Quand tu les trouveras on jouera ensemble avec eux."
Grand-père : "Bien sur, ça me rappellera des bons souvenirs."

Granddad : "So many questions! Chloe, yes, they are and I wonder where the others are."
Chloe : "When you find them we'll play together with them."
Granddad : "it will bring back good memories."

Grand-père : "Sur cette photo c'est ton arrière grand-mère."

Fiona : "Il faudra que tu me parles d'elle et de ses parents."

Grand-père : "Je suis content que tu t'intéresses à la famille."

Granddad : "In this photo it's your great gandmother."

Fiona : "You'll have to tell me about her and her family."

Granddad : "I'm glad you're interested in the family."

Quant à Nina décorer le sapin est la seule chose qui l'intéresse.

As far as Nina is concerned she is only interested in decorating the Christmas tree.

Fiona : "Grand-père j'aimerais vraiment avoir le bol de ta mère, je l'adore."
Grand-père : "C'est une bonne idée, ainsi tu auras un souvenir de famille."
Lucie : "Qu'est ce que tu fais Chloé? Tu veux venir décorer le sapin avec moi?"
Chloé : "Oui, allons-y!"

Fiona : "Granddad I would really like to have your mother's bowl, I love it."
Granddad : "It's a good idea, this way you'll have a family heirloom."
Lucie : "What are you doing Chloe? Do you want to come and decorate the Christmas tree with me?"
Chloe : "Yes, I do, let's go!"

Grand-père : "Allons voir ce que font les autres."

Granddad : "Let's go and see what the others are doing."

Fiona : "Mamie, Grand-père m'a donné le bol."
Mamie : "Je suis contente pour toi. C'est mieux que de le laisser au grenier."

Fiona : "Grandma, Granddad has just given me the bowl."
Grandma : "I'm happy for you. It's better than leaving it in the attic."

Lucie : "Mais Nina, pourquoi tu as commencé sans nous? C'est pas juste."

Lucie : "But Nina, why have you started without us? It isn't fair."

Chloé : "Allez Doumi bouge!"
Nina : "Laisse le tranquille! T'es bête! Passe derrière le sapin."
Chloé : "Tu n'as pas le droit de dire que je suis bête."

Chloe : "Come on Softy move!"
Nina : "Leave him alone! You silly! Go behind the tree."
Chloe : "You have no right to call me silly."

Nina : "Lucie je fais ce que je veux."

Nina : "Lucie I do what I want."

Calinou : "Des problèmes avec les filles. J'espère que Grand-père va arranger ça."
Doumi : "Je ne crois pas, c'est Mamie qui habituellement règle les problèmes avec les filles."

Cuddly : "Troubles with the girls. I hope Granddad will deal with it."
Softy : "I don't think so, it's Grandma who usually deals with troubles with the girls."

Mamie : "Mais que font les filles? J'entends qu'elles commencent à se disputer."
Grand-père : "Au fait Solange Il faudra retrouver mes autres soldats. Bon, je vais aller me faire un thé, c'est l'heure."

Grandma : "But, what are the girls doing? I can hear they're starting to argue."
Granddad : "By the way Solange we 'll have to find my other soldiers. Well, I'm going to have tea, it's time."

Mamie : "Les filles ça suffit, qu'est ce qui se passe?

Grandma : "Girls enough, what's going on?"

Lucie : "Allez Mamie ouvre un carton!"

Lucie : "Come on Grandma open a box!"

Nina : "Qu'est ce qu'il y a sous le papier?"

Nina : "What's under the paper?"

Lucie : "Oh, un bol! C'est qui Geneviève?"

Grand-mère : "C'est la mère de grand-père."

Lucie : "Oh, a bowl! Who is Geneviève?"

Grandma : "It's Grandddad's mother."

Fiona : "Je l'adore. Mamie, est ce que je pourrais le garder?"

Mamie : "Tu demanderas à Grand-père."

Fiona : "I love it. Grandma, could I keep it, please?

Grandma : "You'll ask Granddad."

Il y a d'autres choses dans le carton.

There are other things in the box.

Et cela intéresse Chloé.

And Chloe is interested.

Mamie : "J'espère que les décorations sont dans le prochain carton."

Grandma : "I hope the decorations are in the next box."

Chloé : "Ils ont l'air vieux ces livres de classe."

Chloe : "These school books look old."

Et toujours pas de décorations de Noël dans le deuxième carton.

And still no Christmas decorations in the second box.

Mamie : "Tiens, voilà la boîte à couture de ma belle-mère."
Lucie : "C'est qui ta belle-mère?"
Mamie : "La mère de Grand-père, Geneviève."
Lucie : "Elle avait des belles choses, le bol et j'adore tout ce qu'il y a dans la boîte."

Grandma : "Ah, there's my mother-in-law's sewing box."
Lucie : "Who is your mother-in-law?
Grandma : "Granddad's mother, Geneviève."
Lucie : "She had beautiful things, the bowl and I love everything in the box."

Comme tous les enfants Lucie est vite intéressée par quelque chose d'autre.

Like all children Lucie is quickly interested in somethig else.

Mamie : "Ah, voilà les décorations!"

Grandma : "Ah, here are the decorations!"

Nina : "Maintenant on peut décorer le sapin."

Nina : "Now we can decorate the Christmas tree."

 Quentin aussi semble content.

 Quentin also looks happy."

Lucie : "Mais qu'est ce que tu fais Doumi?

Lucie : "But what are you doing Softy?

Tu as trouvé une maison."

Doumi : "Pas moyen d'être tranquille."

You've found a house."

Softy : "No way to have some peace."

Doumi : "Ah, j'entends Calinou, j'espère que Lucie va plutôt s'occuper de lui que de moi."

Softy : "Ah, I can hear Calinou. I hope Lucie will pay attention to him rather than me.

Lucie : "Grand-père est rentré."

Lucie : "Granddad is back."

Mamie : " J'espère que les décorations de Noël sont dans un de ces cartons."

Grandma : "I hope the Christmas decorations are in one of these boxes."

Grand-père : "Les filles j'entends Mamie. J'espère qu'elle a trouvé les décorations de Noël."
Chloé : "Ce n'est pas trop tôt parce que je m'ennuie."

Granddad : "Girls I can hear Grandma. I hope she's found the Christmas decorations."
Chloe : "And about time too because I was getting bored."

Nina : "En tout cas c'était amusant d'aller au grenier."

Nina : "Anyway it was fun to go to the attic."

Lucie : "Trois gros cartons! Il doit y avoir beaucoup de décorations de Noël."

Lucie : "Three big boxes! There must be a lot of Christmas decorations."

Fiona : "En fait Mamie ne sait pas dans quel carton elles sont."

Fiona : "In fact Grandma doesn't know in which box they are."

Chloé : "Çà alors, c'est la meilleure!"

Chloe : "That's the best one yet!"

Mamie : "Je devrais écrire sur les cartons ce qu'il y a à l'intérieur."

Grandma : "I should write on the boxes what's inside."

Grand-père : "Je ne sais pas pourquoi tu avais besoin d'aller les chercher tout de suite quand tu allais faire des sablés."

Granddad : "I don't know why you had to go and get them straight away when you were about to make cookies."

Quentin : "Ma, ma, ba, ba"

Mamie : "Je les ferai après et les filles voulaient décorer le sapin et cela va les occuper."

Grandma : "I'll make them later and the girls wanted to decorate the Christmas tree and it will keep them busy."

Grand-père : "A vous voir comme ça on dirait les Rois Mages."

Granddad : "Seeing you like that you make me think of the Three Kings."

Nina : "Je dirais plutôt les Trois Reines."

Nina : "I would rather say the Three Queens."

Lucie : "C'est drôle."

Chloé : "Bon on va ouvrir les cartons!"

Lucie : "It's funny."
Chloe : "Let's go and open the boxes!"

Doumi : "Tu vois Calinou avec les petits-enfants on ne s'ennuie jamais."

Softy : "You see Cuddly there's never a dull moment with the grandchildren."

Lucie : "Allez, venez avec les cartons!"

Lucie : "Let's go, come with the boxes!"

Mamie : "On arrive, mon carton est bien lourd."

Grandma : "We're coming, my box is quite heavy."

Lucie : "Mamie, on ouvre quel carton en premier?"

Lucie : "Grandma, which box do we open first?"

Chloé : "Même si on trouve les décorations tout de suite on ouvrira aussi les autres."

Chloe : "Even if we find the decorations straight away we'll also open the others."

Doumi : "J'ai hâte de m'amuser avec les cartons."

Softy : "I can't wait to have fun with the boxes."

Grand-père : "Bon, je vais aller promener Calinou."

Granddad : "Well, I'll take Cuddly for a walk."

Calinou : "Ah enfin!"

Cuddly : "Ah at last!"

Mamie : "Maintenant! D'accord, mais pas trop longtemps après tu nous aideras avec le sapin."

Grandma : "Now! All right, but not for too long after you'll help us with the Christmas tree."

Grand-père : "Je suis sûre que les filles vont bien t'aider."
Fiona : "Grand-père je t'avais dit que j'irais avec toi, mais maintenant j'aimerais voir ce qu'il y a dans les cartons."

Granddad : "I'm sure the girls will be a great help."
Fiona : "Granddad I told you I would go with you, but now I would like to see what's in the boxes."

Grand-père : "Ne t'inquiète pas! Tu viendras un autre jour."

Granddad : "Don't worry! You'll come another day."

Calinou : "Ah on va y aller."

Cuddly : "Ah we're going."

Doumi : "Moi je préfère rester avec elles, cela va être amusant."

Softy : "I prefer staying with them, it's going to be fun."
