 Nina : "Mamie, on ne sait pas quoi faire."

Mamie : "Mais je croyais que vous jouiez dans le jardin. Je suis occupée."

Chloé : "Oui, mais maintenant on s'ennuie."

Mamie : "Parfois c'est bien de ne rien faire et de s'ennuyer."

Nina : "Grandma, we don't know what to do."

Mamie : "But I thought you were playing in the garden. I'm busy."

Chloe : "Yes, we were, but now we're bored."

Mamie : "Sometimes it's a good thing to do nothing and to be bored."

 Chloé : "Mais ce n'est pas drôle."

Mamie : "Utiliser votre imagination."

Nina : "Tu fais quoi, Mamie ?"

Mamie : "Je fais des madeleines."

Chloe : "But it isn't funny."

Grandma : "Use your imagination."

Nina : "What are you doing Grandma?"

Grandma : "I'm making some madeleines."

Nina : "Je veux t'aider."
Mamie : "D'accord, mais je voulais les faire rapidement car après je dois aller acheter du poisson."
Nina : "Tu verras toutes les deux ensemble on sera plus rapide."

Nina : "I want to help you."
Grandma : "All right, but I wanted to make them quickly because later I must go and buy some fish."
Nina : "You'll see both of us together we'll be quicker."

Chloé : "Lucie, descends Mamie fait des madeleines."

Lucie : "J'arrive."

Chloe : "Lucie, come down Grandma is making some madeleines."

Lucie : "I'm coming."

Lucie : "Où elles sont les madeleines ?"

Chloé : "Elle va les faire avec Nina."

Lucie : "Where are the madeleines?"

Chloe : "She is going to make them with Nina."

Lucie : "Quand j'ai entendu madeleines je croyais qu'elles étaient prêtes."
Chloé : "Pas encore mais il y a du chocolat."
Lucie : "Ça ne m'intéresse pas et je veux manger des madeleines pas les faire, je vais aller jouer avec Quentin."
Mamie : "Nina vient mettre la farine et casser les œufs, ce n'est pas trop difficile."

Lucie : "When I heard madeleines I thought they were ready."
Chloe : "Not yet, but there is some chocolate."
Lucie : "I'm not interested and I want to eat some madeleines not make them, I'll go and play with Quentin."
Grandma : "Nina come and put the flour and break the eggs, it isn't too difficult."

Mamie : "C'est pas vrai ! Regarde ce que tu as fait."

Quentin : "ba, ba, ma,ma"

Lucie : "Qu'est ce qui se passe?"

Grandma : "It just isn't true! Look what you've done."

Quentin : "ba, ba, ma, ma"

Lucie : "What's going on?"

Lucie : "Pourquoi tu te fâches Mamie ? Qu'est ce qu'elle a fait Nina ?"

Nina : "J'ai pas fait exprès, je voulais juste t'aider."

Lucie : "Why are you angry Grandma? What has Nina done?"

Nina : "I didn't do it on purpose, I only wanted to help you."

Mamie : "Quel saleté maintenant,

Grandma : "What a mess now,

Lucie : "No, she isn't, but she's eating some chocolate."

Mamie : "That's all we needed."

Chloé : "Pourquoi tu l'as dit ? Lucie, tu es une rapporteuse"
Mamie : "Encore heureux qu'elle l'a dit."

Chloe : "Why did you tell it? Lucie, you're a telltale."
Grandma : "A good thing she told it."

Mamie : "Les filles vous êtes impossibles, j'en ai assez."
Nina : "Pardon, Mamie."
Mamie : "Chloé, repose le chocolat tout de suite !"

Grandma : "Girls, you are impossible, I've had enough!"
Nina : "Sorry, Grandma."
Grandma : "Chloe, put back the chocolate immediately!"

Chloé : "Il était sur la table et tu ne l'utilisais pas, je ne vois pas pourquoi je ne pouvais pas le prendre."

Mamie : "Qu'est-ce que j'entends ?"
Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"

Chloe : "It was on the table and you weren't using it, I can't see why I couldn't take it."
Grandma : "Am I hearing right?"
quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"
Doumi : "Pauvre Quentin il a perdu son jouet et personne ne s'en occupe."
Calinou : "Je déteste le bruit et quand les gens sont en colère."

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"
Softy : "Poor Quentin he has dropped his toy and nobody cares."
Cuddly : "I hate noise and when people are angry."

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin,ouin"
Calinou : "Ouaf, ouaf, ouaf"
Nina : "Mamie Quentin pleure."

Mamie : "Il va pas s'y mettre lui aussi, va voir ce qu'il a. Chloé ne sois pas insolente et fais ce que je te dis !"

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"
Cuddly : "Woof, woof, woof"
Nina : "Quentin is crying."
Grandma : "He won't get started too, go and see what's wrong with him. Chloe don't be insolent and do what I'm telling you!"

Calinou : "Ouaf, ouaf, ouaf"

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"

Nina : "Ah, tu as fait tombé ton jouet."

Doumi : "Enfin !"

Cuddly : "Woof, woof, woof"

Quentin : "Ouin, ouin, ouin"

Nina : "Ah, you've dropped your toy."

Softy : "At last!"

Calinou : "Ouaf, ouaf, ouaf"

Mamie : "Qu'est ce qu'il a le chien ? Calinou arrête d'aboyer !"

Nina : "Je m'en occupe Mamie et de Quentin aussi."

Cuddly : "Woof, woof, woof"
Grandma : "What's wrong with the dog? Cuddly stop barking!
Nina : "I'm looking after him and Quentin too."

Mamie : "Charles, descends tout de suite ! J'ai besoin de toi."

Grandma : "Charles, come down immediately! I need you."

Chloé : "Mamie est pénible on ne peut pas faire ce que l'on veut. Je retourne dans le jardin."

Chloe : "Grandma is a pain in the neck we can't do what we want. I'm going back to the garden."

Grand-père : "Qu'est ce qui se passe ? Je ne peux pas lire avec tout ce vacarme."

Granddad : "What's going on? I can't read with all that racket."

Mamie : "Les filles sont impossibles, ton chien aboie et je ne peux pas faire mes madeleines. J'en peux plus."

Lucie : "Grand-père moi je suis sage."

Grand-père : "Mais qu'est ce que tu veux que je fasse ?"

Grandma : "The girls are impossible, your dog is barking and I can't make my madeleines. I can't take it any longer."
Lucie : "Granddad I'm good."
Granddad : "But what do you want me to do?"

Mamie : "Tu n'as qu'à sortir ton chien et les filles."

Grand-père : "Mais j'étais en train de lire."

Mamie : "Et alors ?"

Lucie : "Je veux aller avec toi."

Mamie : "Où sont les autres ? Ah, je les entends dans le jardin."

Grand-père : "Apparemment tu ne me laisses pas le choix, d'accord je sors avec Lucie, Quentin et mon chien."

Grandma : You can take the dog and the girls for a walk."
Granddad : "But I was reading."
Grandma : "So what?"
Lucie : "I want to go with you."
Grandma : "Where are the others? Ah, I can hear them in the garden."
Granddad : "Apparently you leave me no choice, all right I'll go out with Lucie, Quentin and my dog."

 Lucie : Mamie était en colère."
Grand-père : "Oui, mais il faut la comprendre, vous étiez toutes casse-pieds."

Lucie : "Grandma was angry."
Granddad : "Yes, she was, but that's understandable, you were all pests."

 Lucie : Calinou, même toi tu t'es fait attraper."

Lucie : "Cuddly, even you were told off."

 Lucie : "Mais on ne pouvait pas faire ce que l'on voulait."
Grand-père : "Les enfants ne peuvent pas toujours faire ce qu'ils veulent."
Lucie : "C'est pas juste et pas drôle."
Grand-père : "Et parfois c'est pareil pour les adultes. Je voulais lire et finalement je me promène."

Lucie : "But we couldn't do what we wanted."
Granddad : "Children can't always do what they want."
Lucie : "It isn't fair and fun."
Granddad : "And sometimes it's the same for adults. I wanted to read and eventually I'm having a walk."

 Lucie : "Mais maintenant tu es content, moi je suis contente d'être avec toi."
Quentin : "ba-ba-ma-ma"

Lucie : "But now you're happy, I'm happy to be with you."
Quentin : "ba-ba-ma-ma"

 Loïck : "Voici mon ami Charles ! Ben, tu as l'air bien occupé avec tout ton petit monde."

Loïck : "Here is my friend Charles! Well, you look quite busy with your little family."

 Grand-père : "Bonjour Loïck, c'est toute une histoire. Lucie, dis bonjour à Loïck."

Granddad : "Hello Loïck, it's a long story. Lucie, say hello to Loïck."

 Lucie : Bonjour Loïck. Tu sais Mamie était très en colère."

Lucie : "Hello Loïck. You know Grandma was very angry."

 Loïck : "Bonjour Lucie. Sans blague ! Charles raconte moi, mais avant, Lucie est ce que tu veux une étoile de mer ?"

Loïck : "Hello Lucie. It's a joke! Charles tell me, but before that, Lucie would you like to get a starfish?"

 Lucie : "Oh oui, s'il te plait. Mais c'est une étoile qui est tombée dans la mer?"
Grand-père : "Ah, c'est mignon ! On l'appelle comme ça parce qu'elle a la forme d'une étoile."

Lucie : "Oh yes, please. but is it a star that fell in the sea and became a fish?"
Granddad : "Ah, that's sweet! It's called like that because it's star-shaped."

 Loïck : "Elle vit dans la mer, elle était dans mon filet. Regarde, elle te plait ?"
Lucie : Oui, elle est belle. Merci Loïck."

Loïck : "It lives in the sea, it was in my net. Look, do you like it?"
Lucie : "Yes, I do, it's beautiful. Thank you Loïck."

 Loïck : "Tu peux la prendre."

Lucie : "Elle ne va pas bouger dans ma main ou me mordre?"

Loïck : "N'aie pas peur, elle est morte mais elle est fragile."

Loïck : "You can take it."

Lucie : "It won't move in my hand or bite me, will it?"

Loïck : "Don't worry, it's dead but it's fragile."

 Lucie : Grand-père, tu peux la garder, s'il te plait ? Je n'ai pas de poche et je ne veux pas la casser."
Grand-père : "Donne la moi."
Lucie : "Mais tu fais attention."
Grand-père : "Ne t'inquiète pas, je sais que c'est un cadeau précieux."

Lucie : "Granddad, can you keep it, please? I haven't got any pockets and I don't want to break it."
Granddad : "Give it to me."
Lucie : "But be careful."
Granddad : "Don't worry, I know it's a precious gift.

 Loïck : "Alors,qu'est ce qu'elle avait Solange ?"
Quentin : "ba-ba-ma-ma"
Grand-père : "Elle voulait faire des madeleines, les filles voulaient l'aider et apparemment cela a dégénéré."

Loïck : "Well, what was wrong with Solange?"
Quentin : "ba-ba-ma-ma"
Granddad : "She wanted to make some madeleines, the girls wanted to help her and apparently it got out of hands."

 Loïck : "Mon pauvre ! Donc tu as décidé d'aller faire un tour pour échapper à tout ça."
Grand père : "Si seulement, tu aurais dû entendre Solange, elle ..."
Lucie : "Grand-père, il y a une grosse mouette."

Loïck : "Poor you! So you decided to go for a walk to escape from all that."
Granddad : "If only, you should have heard Solange, she..."
Lucie : "Granddad, there is a big seagull."

 Lucie : Grand-père, Grand-père, au secours ! La grosse mouette est sur la poussette."

Lucie : "Granddad, Granddad, help! The big seagull is on the buggy."

 Grand-père : "Allez, va-t-en !"
Lucie : "Elle m'a fait peur la grosse mouette. Quentin n'a même pas eu peur, ni toi non plus."

Granddad : Come on , go away!"
Lucie : "The big seagull scared me. Quentin wasn't scared a bit, neither were you."

 Grand-père : "Tu vois elle part maintenant, les mouettes peuvent être pénibles parfois."

Granddad : "You see it's going away now, seagulls can sometimes be a nuisance."

 Loïck : "Tu l'as bien dit ! Elles m'ont bien embêté pendant que je m'occupais de mon poisson."

Loïck : "How right you are! They pestered me while I was busy with my fish."

Lucie : "Va-t-en et ne reviens pas !"

Lucie : "Go away and don't come back again!"

Grande mouette : "Qu'est ce que vous faites ?"

Big seagull : " What are you doing?"

Mouette bec ouvert : "De quoi je me mêle ! On bavarde tranquillement. "
Grande mouette : "Bref, rien d'intéressant, et en plus il n'y a rien à manger, je m'en vais."

Seagull with an open beak : "What's it got to do with you? We are having a peaceful chat."
Big seagull : "Well, nothing interesting, and on top of that there isn't anything to eat, I'm going."

Mouette : "Tiens revoilà la grande mouette, j'espère qu'elle ne va pas prendre ce qu'il y a dans le filet."

Seagull : "Here is the big seagull again, I hope she won't take what's in the net."

Grande mouette : "Quand quelque chose se passe j'arrive."

Big seagull : "When something is going on I'm coming."

Grande mouette : "Mais ne t'en fais pas petite mouette ! C'est de la broutille dans le filet, pas ce que je cherche. A plus tard !"

Big seagull : "But don't fret little seagull! It's just junk in the net, not what I'm looking for. See you later!"

Mouette bec ouvert : "Bon débarras ! Cette mouette m'agace, pourquoi elle ne peut pas nous laisser tranquille ?"
Mouette : "Ne t'énerve pas ! Elle est partie."

Seagull with an open beak : "Good riddance! That seagull is getting on my nerves, why can't she leave us alone?"
Seagull : "Take it easy! She's gone."

Grande mouette : "Ah enfin, c'est tout à fait ce qu'il me faut."

Big seagull : "Ah at last, that's just the thing for me"

Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Encore toi ! Reste où tu es !"

Seagull with open beak : "You again! Stay where you are!"

Grande mouette : "Tu es une marrante toi. Allez, pousse-toi !" 

Big seagull : "You're a great laugh. Come on, move over!" 

Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Pourquoi tu veux toujours être avec nous?"
Grande mouette : "Tout simplement parce que je m'ennuie."
Mouette : "Tu vois finalement ce n'est pas pour nous embêter et toi tu réagis toujours de manière exagérée."

Seagull with an open beak : "Why do you always want to be with us?"
Big seagull : "Just because I'm bored."
Seagull : "You see in the end it isn't to bother us and you're always overreacting."

Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Hé ! Le pêcheur s'énerve, on ferait mieux d'aller ailleurs."

Seagull with an open beak : "Hey! The fisherman is getting excited, we'd better go somewhere else."

Grande mouette : "Tu as raison petite mouette, ce n'est plus amusant." 

Big seagull : "You're right little seagull, it isn't fun anymore."

Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Allez venez ! Maintenant il y a plein de poissons et assez pour tout le monde."

Seagull with an open beak : "Come on!  Now there's plenty of fish and enough for everybody."

Mouette bec ouvert : "Mais elle est où la grande mouette?"

Mouette : "Alors, maintenant tu ne peux plus te passer d'elle."

Seagull with an open beak : "But where is the big seagull?"

Seagull : "So, now you can't manage without her."

Grande mouette : "Me voilà !"
Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Si le pêcheur croit que l'on va partir il se trompe."
Grande mouette : "Petite rebelle ! Tu sais on ferait mieux de partir, il ne nous laissera jamais tranquille."

Big seagull : Here I am!"
Seagull with an open beak : "If the fisherman thinks that we're going to go away he is mistaken."
Big seagul : "Little rebel! You know we'd better go, he'll never leave us in peace."

Mouette avec bec ouvert : "Alors qu'est ce qu'on fait?"
Grande mouette : "Venez avec moi, on va aller suivre des bateaux de pêche , ce sera amusant."

Seagull with an open beak : "So what do we do?"
Big seagull : "Come with me, we're going to follow some fishing boats, it will be fun."
