Festival de Loire, bienvenue - welcome

Bienvenue - Welcome Audra Pangle, Shelly, Keli, Miniatureallsorts, mindymax, Lavendula

Every two years Orélans is very lively thanks to the Festival de Loire.

I love seeing the Loire with all these boats.

It is like going back to the past.

It gives us an idea of the animation there must have been on the banks of the Loire.

Nina and Lucie had to go on a boat.

Voyez comme elles sont à l'aise. - See how they look at ease.

They are dreaming they are sailing down the Loire, Blois, Tours ... and why not down up to the sea! ...

There are restaurants, concerts, workshops for children and so on...

A lot to see and do. we are very proud of our river.

Thank you so much for your comments!

Nina and Lucie had a super time, I'm glad I didn't bring them with me on Saturday because it was crowded and I don't think I would have dared to take photos of them.

Yesterday there were even more things to see, a lot of Dutch animation, the Netherlands are the guests this year.
Roelie, your friend will have a lot to tell you.

Rosanna, I was glad to read that you know the Loire region. There are so many things to see, especially castles.

Thanks a lot Piikko! We tend to say that the Loire is one the latest wild river.

Thank you so much Cynthia! I hope one day you'll be able to visit France.

Thanks a lot Irene! The boat was a model one, and when I took the photos there weren't a lot of people around. Most people were looking at the boats on the river or interested in the food stalls.

Jollie, thank you!
You're right it's strange for us to think that in the past there were so many boats on the Loire.
