Nina et Lucie étaient en vacances (épisode 1) - Nina and Lucie were on holiday (part 1)

Les filles sont en vacances et Nina a décidé de jouer à la maîtresse. Elle voulait utiliser son nouveau tableau noir et mamie, qui vient d'arriver, à rapporter de ses vacances aux Etats Unis des cadeaux.

The girls are on holiday and Nina decided to play school. She wanted to use her new blackboard and grandma, who has just arrived, brought back presents from her holiday in the States.

Comme ce beau tableau! Elle sait que Nina rêve d'être une maîtresse. Cette salle de classe américaine lui a donné l'idée d'être aujourd'hui professeur d'anglais.

Like this beautiful picture! She knows that Nina dreams of being a teacher. This American classroom gave her the idea of being an English teacher today.

Au bout d'un moment Lucie en a assez de l'anglais. Au début c'était drôle, mais Nina prend son rôle trop au sérieux.
Lucie : "Nina je vais faire un dessin, comme ça je vais pouvoir utiliser les crayons de mamie."

After a while Lucie has  enough of English. At the beginning it was fun, but Nina plays her role too seriously.
Lucie : "Nina, I'm going to draw, this way I can use Grandma's crayons."

Nina : "Mais alors, je n'ai plus d'élève, tu es pénible."
Lucie : "Mais tu dis des choses que je ne comprends pas, à l'école les cours d'anglais ce n'est pas comme ça et  je connais que les couleurs."
Nina : "D'accord! Fais ton dessin et tu me diras les couleurs en anglais."

Nina : "But I have no more pupils, you're a pain in the neck."
Lucie : "But you say things I don't understand, at school English lessons aren't like that and I only know colours."
Nina : "All right! Do your drawing and you'll tell me the colours in English."

Lucie : "Maîtresse, j'ai fini mon dessin."

Nina : " Très bien , ma petite Lucie. Tell me the colours."

Lucie : "Miss, I've finished drawing."

Nina : "Very good, my little Lucie. *Tell me the colours."

Lucie : "Quoi?" 

Nina : "Dis moi les couleurs en anglais."

Lucie : "Green, brown, yellow, blue et black"

Nina : "Very good!" 

Lucie : "What?"

Nina : "Tell me the colours in English."

Lucie : "*Green, brown, yellow, blue and black."

Nina : "*Very good!"

Lucie : "Qu'est ce que l'on fait maintenant?"

Nina : "Je sais. Adèle va être mon élève."

Lucie : "What do we do now?"

Nina : "I know. Adèle is going to be my pupil."

Lucie : " Mon chien aussi est content d'être un élève et moi ton assistante. Pourquoi c'est toujours moi l'élève?"

Nina : "Parce que toi tu es en maternelle."

Lucie : "My dog is  happy too to be a pupil and me your assistant.  Why is it always me who is a pupil?"

Nina : "Because you're at nursery school."

Nina : "Listen and repeat!"

Lucie : "Encore de l'anglais! Je vais aller montrer mon dessin à mamie."

Nina : "*Listen and repeat!"

Lucie : "English again! I'm going to show my drawing to grandma."

Un article dans Miniaturas - An article in Miniaturas

Je dois remercier beaucoup Madelva Fernandez pour le merveilleux article qu'elle a publié sur moi dans le magazine Miniaturas. C'est à propos de mes  travaux d'aiguille miniatures. Inutile de vous dire que je suis très heureuse. C'est aussi un sentiment étrange de voir son travail dans un magazine, surtout comme Miniaturas que j'aime beaucoup et qui nous montre de si belles miniatures.

I must thank a lot Madelva Fernandez for the wonderful article she published about me in the magazine Miniaturas. It is about my miniature needlework. No need to tell you how delighted I am. It is also an odd feeling to see your work in a magazine, especially one like Miniaturas that I love a lot and that shows us such beautiful miniatures.

Certaines personnes connaissent déjà mon travail pour m'avoir vue au SIMP à Paris et grâce à Alicia qui a fait si gentiment 2 posts sur moi. Pour d'autres ce sera peut-être une surprise car je n'en parle pratiquement pas dans mon blog car il est consacré à ma collection de miniatures.

J'ai le projet d'ouvrir une boutique Etsy dans un futur plus ou moins proche, en tout cas c'est en préparation. Néanmoins lundi c'est la rentrée...

Some people already know my work because they saw me at the SIMP in Paris and thanks to Alicia who very kindly published 2 posts about me. For others it may be a surprise because I hardly speak about it on my blog as it is devoted to my collection of miniatures.

I have the plan to open an Etsy shop in the future, anyway I am preparing it. Nevertheless on Monday it is back to school...

Nina et Lucie continuent de s'amuser avec Boule de Neige.

Nina and Lucie are still playing with Snowball.

Nina : " Alors, Boule de neige tu es content avec nous?"

Nina : "So, Snowball are you happy with us?"

Lucie : " J'espère qu'il ne va pas faire pipi sur les coussins."

Nina : "Tu crois qu'il ne fait pas pipi que dans sa cage?"

Lucie : "I hope he won't have a wee-wee on the cushions."

Nina : " Don't you think he only has a wee-wee in his cage?"

 Les filles n'étant pas trop sûres elles ont mis le lapin par terre.

The girls not being too sure about that put him on the floor.

Lucie : " Nina, il va manger les fleurs et maman va être furieuse."

Lucie : "Nina, he's going to eat the flowers and mum will be furious."

 Lucie : "Nina, dépêche toi! attrape le!"

Lucie : "Nina, hurry up! Catch him!"

Maman : " Les filles, où êtes vous? Le dîner est prêt!"

Nina : "Oh! Boule de neige, vite retourne dans ta cage!"

Mum : "Girls, where are you?" Dinner is ready!"

Nina : "Oh! Snowball, quick go back to your cage!"

 Lucie : "Ouf! Il a compris ou il a eu peur de maman."

Lucie : "Phew! He understood or he was afraid of mum."

 Nina : "C'est bien mon petit lapin!"

Nina : "Good rabbit!"

 

 Maman : "Ah vous êtes là! J'aurais dû m'en douter. Alors il est sage votre lapin?"

Nina : "Oh oui, bien sur!"

Lucie : "Il n'a pas fait de bêtises."

Maman : "Je ne sais pas pourquoi mais j'ai l'impression que tout est un peu trop calme ici."

Maman : "Ah here you are!" I should have guessed. So is your rabbit good?"

Nina : "Of course he is!"

Lucie : "He didn't get into mischief."

Mum : "I don't know why but I have a feeling that everything is a bit too quiet here."

Les filles ont enfin un animal, mais maman ne le voulait pas dans la maison. Après l'école elles vont le voir avec de la nourriture. Lucie a choisi son nom : Boule de neige.

The girls have got a pet at last, but mum did not want it in the house. Back from school they go to see it with some food. Lucie named it : Snowball.

Lucie : "Coucou Boule de neige! Nous voilà!"

Nina : " Il a l'air content, j'espère qu'il ne s'ennuie pas trop." 

Lucie : "Hello Snowball! Here we are!"

Nina : "He looks happy, I hope he doesn't get bored too much."

Lucie : "Regarde comme il est mignon!"

Nina : "Boule de neige on vient jouer avec toi." 

Lucie : "Look how cute he is!"

Nina : "Snowball we are here to play with you."

Lucie : "Il a besoin d'un ami, pourquoi pas ton Adèle?"

Nina : "Oh oui, je vais la chercher." 

Lucie : "He needs a friend, what about your Adèle?"

Nina : "Oh you're right, I'll go and get her."

Lucie : "Regarde, il lui dit bonjour. Je suis sûre qu'ils vont devenir amis."

Lucie : "Look, he says hello to her. I'm sure they'll become friends."

Nina : "En fait ce n'est pas une si bonne idée, il pourrait mordre Adèle."
Lucie : "Mais non, Il est trop gentil pour faire ça et puis ils s'entendent bien."
Nina : "Adèle est à moi, pas au lapin et je veux l'avoir dans ma chambre."

Nina : "In fact it isn't such a good idea, he may bite Adèle."
Lucie : "But not at all, he is too nice to do something like that and they get on very well."
Nina : "Adèle's mine, not the rabbit's and I want her in my bedroom."

Nina : "Tu n'as pas besoin d'Adèle comme amie, je suis ton amie."
Lucie : "Et le mien aussi!" 

Nina : "You don't need Adèle as a friend, I'm your friend."
Lucie : "And mine too."

Nina :" Bien sur, mais moi je suis comme sa maman. Boule de neige, tu aimes ta maman?"
Lucie : "Attention tu vas devenir un lapin si tu es sa maman. Super!, comme ça j'aurais deux lapins."

Nina : "Of course, but I'm like his mummy. Snowball, you love your mummy, don't you?"
Lucie : "Be careful you're going to become a rabbit if you are his mum. Great!, this way I would have two rabbits."

Nina : "T'es bête! Oh! Il veut me faire un câlin."

Nina : "Silly you! Oh! He wants a hug."

Lucie : "Moi aussi je veux un câlin ou un bisou."
Nina : "Viens, je le tiens pour toi." 

Lucie : "I too want a hug or a kiss."
Nina : "Come on, I'm holding him for you."

Lucie : "Oh! Il est tout doux mais il me chatouille."
Lucie : Oh! He is so soft but he is tickling."

L'arlésienne

J'ai fini d'habiller la poupée de Joy Cox, pour voir le post sur ce projet cliquez ici.

C'est une arlésienne plutôt campagnarde, elle n'est pas en habits de cérémonie. J'ai essayé de respecter les règles du costume, mais je sais que ce n'est pas parfait. De plus je ne suis pas une couturière, donc j'ai fait à ma façon.

It's a countrywoman from Arles (Provence), she is not wearing a formal dress. I have tried to respect the rules of this costume, but I know it is not perfect. Moreover I am not a dressmaker, therefore I made it my own way.
