Nina : "Lucie, je vais aller pêcher des crevettes."

Nina : "Lucie, I'm going to go shrimping."

 Lucie : "Moi je vais jouer avec le bateau."

Lucie : "I'm going to play with the boat."

Lucie : "On trouve plein de choses sur la plage."

Lucie : "There are plenty of things on the beach."

Nina : "C'est vrai, il y a plein d'algues, mais pas de trésor."

Nina : "You're right, there are a lot of seaweeds, but no treasure."

 Nina : "Lucie, ça va?"

Nina : "Lucie, are you all right?"

Lucie : "Oui, j'attends que la mer vienne faire flotter le bateau."

Lucie : "Yes, I am, I'm waiting for the sea to make the boat float."

Lucie : "Nina, viens, dépêche toi!"

Lucie : "Nina, come, hurry up!"

Nina : "Qu'est ce qui t'arrive?"

Lucie : "La mer a emporté mon bateau."

Nina : "Ne t'inquiète pas! Je vais le chercher."

Nina : "What's wrong?"

Lucie : "The sea swept away my boat."

Nina : "Don't worry! I'm going to get it."

Lucie : "Oh! Regarde! tu vas perdre ta broche."

Nina : "Ouf! merci!"

Lucie : "Oh!  Look! You're going to lose your brooch."

Nina : "Phew! Thank you!"

 Nina : "Je l'ai. Pas de crevettes, pas de trésor, tant pis! ... Le plus important c'est le bateau ..."

Nina : "I got it. No shrimps, no treasure, never mind! ... The main thing is the boat ..."

Nina n'a peut-être pas trouver de trésor, mais  j'en ai trouvé ... J'adore me promener sur la plage et ramasser des tas de choses.

Nina may  have found no treasure, but I did ... I love walking on the beach and picking up a lot of things.

Nina et Lucie en Angleterre (épisode 2) - Nina and Lucie in England (part 2)

Lucie : "Nina, si on jouait avec le cerf-volant, toi tu m'as dit que tu sais le faire voler et que sur une plage c'est facile."

Lucie : "Nina, if we played wit the kite, you told me that you know how to fly it and that on the beach it's easy."

Nina : "D'accord! Regarde!"

Nina : "Ok! Look!"

Lucie : "Essaye encore!"

Lucie : "Try again!"

 

Nina : "Crotte!"

Nina : "Pooh!"

Lucie : "Je croyais que tu étais la reine du cerf-volant. En fait tu n'es pas meilleure que moi."

Nina : "Bon, ça va! Je vais réessayer, c'est à cause du vent."

Lucie : "Je comprends pas grand-père dit qu'il faut du vent."

Luci : "I thought you were the queen of kites. In fact you're no better than me."

Nina : "Ok! please! I'll try again, it's because of the wind."

Lucie : "I don't understand grandfather says you need wind."

Lucie: "Nina, il vole, maintenant cours!"

Lucie : "Nina, it's flying, now run!"

Nina : "Et si on rentrait? Demain on viendra sans le cerf-volant."

Lucie : "Tu es vexée? C'est pas grave, en tout cas tu m'as bien fait rire."

Nina : "What about going home? Tomorrow we'll come without the kite."

Lucie : "Are you vexed? It doesn't matter, anyway you made me laugh."

Mardi je vais encore partir pour 8 jours, cette fois de vraies vacances avec ma mère et mon neveu à Glasgow chez nos cousins. Après je serai de retour à la maison pour de bon.

On Tuesday I will be off again for 8 days, this time real holidays with my mother and my nephew in Glasgow at our cousins'. After I will be back at home for good.

Pour leur premier jour à la plage Nina et Lucie ont fait des châteaux de sable.

Lucie : "Nina, viens voir mon château."

On their first day on the beach Nina and Lucie made sandcastles.

Lucie : "Nina, come and see my sandcastle."

Nina : "Tu l'as bien réussi, Lucie. Et si je mettais le drapeau pour le décorer?"

Nina : "Well done! Lucie.  What about putting the flag to decorate it?"

Nina : "Alors, Lucie?"

Lucie : "J'adore. 

Nina : "Well, Lucie?"

Lucie : "I love it."

Nina : "Viens voir le mien maintenant."

Nina : "Come and see mine now."

 Lucie : "On reviendra les voir demain."

Nina :  "Ils auront disparu."

Lucie : "Pourquoi?"

Nina : " La mer va monter et les détruire. C'est la marée."

Lucie : "C'est trop triste."

Lucie : "We'll come back to see them tomorrow."

Nina : "They'll have disappeared."

Lucie : "Why?"

Nina : "The sea will come up and destroy them. It's the tide"

Lucie : "It's too sad."

Il faudra attendre pour d'autres aventures de Nina et Lucie. Dimanche je repars en Angleterre avec un autre groupe de jeunes pour une semaine. Cette fois je serai à Eastbourne.

You will have to wait for more of Nina and Lucie's adventures. On Sunday I will go back to England with another group of students for a week. This time I will be in Eastbourne.

vacances - holidays

Depuis hier je suis en vacances. Dimanche je pars pour l'Angleterre avec un groupe de jeunes en séjour linguistique. Un  premier séjour de quinze jours, à mon retour je vous parlerai de la suite de mes vacances.

Yesterday was the end of school, now it's time for the holiday. On Sunday I will go to England with a group of young students on a linguistic exchange. A first stay wich will last a fortnight, when I am back I will tell you more about the rest of my holiday.

Pour illustrer les vacances d'été une photo de famille. Le garçon  contre la dame est mon grand-père paternel.

To illustrate the summer holidays a family photo. The boy against the woman is my paternal gandfather.

 Cette photo s'imposait car  je vais être au bord de la mer à Margate. Même si cette photo me fait rêver je suis contente que les femmes puissent maintenant se mettre en maillot de bain.

This photo seemed obvious as I will be at the seaside in Margate. Even if this photo makes me dream I am happy that nowadays women can wear a bathing suit.
